LarryBooks

Privacy Policy

Last updated: November 3, 2026

This notice explains information handled when a business uses LarryBooks or a customer visits a public booking page. It covers the LarryBooks platform; independent businesses may also have their own privacy practices.

1. LarryBooks and independent businesses

LARRYBOOKS LLC, an Ohio limited liability company (referred to in this notice as “LarryBooks,” “we,” or “us”), operates the LarryBooks booking and scheduling technology. Each participating business decides which services to offer, which client information it needs to manage appointments, and how it communicates with customers. Customers booking with a business share their appointment details with that business. Businesses are responsible for their own use of customer information.

2. Information handled through LarryBooks

  • Account information: email, name or profile details, login and account settings; authentication may also occur through Google or Apple when chosen.
  • Business information: business name, type, contact and location details, staff, descriptions, schedules, services, pricing, booking links, and optional public Discovery information.
  • Booking and client information: customer name, phone and optional email, chosen service and staff, dates and times, booking status, service options, and notes where entered.
  • Photos and public content: uploaded business, portfolio, or gallery photos and descriptions, including information about people pictured where the business supplies it.
  • Payment-related information: plan choice, subscription status, invoices, payment amounts, payment or checkout references, connected-account status, and deposit or appointment payment status, as applicable.
  • Technical and security data: device/browser information, login or usage events, error logs, IP addresses and anti-abuse signals as collected by LarryBooks and its service providers.

3. Where information comes from

Information comes from business owners and staff, customers booking appointments, account sign-in and payment providers, and technical activity involved in delivering and protecting the service. Businesses may also manually create appointments for their customers.

4. How information is used

  • Create accounts, authenticate users, display business details and appointment availability.
  • Book, modify and manage appointments; send transactional confirmations, reminders, and service notices.
  • Facilitate paid subscriptions and optional appointment deposits or full payments, including payment-status checks and invoices.
  • Operate opt-in Discovery listings and display content a business deliberately publishes.
  • Provide support, detect abuse, prevent unauthorized access, troubleshoot errors and improve reliability.
  • Meet legitimate recordkeeping, legal and accounting obligations.

5. Who receives information

Customers' appointment details are accessible to the business they book with and authorized business staff. Public visitors can see the fields and photos a participating business elects to publish to Discovery or its booking page, subject to each feature's visibility controls. A participating business's city, state or country can appear in Discovery even if its street address is hidden.

LarryBooks also uses technology and payment service providers. Depending on the feature, these may include Base44 for the application platform, Stripe for subscription and optional appointment checkout, identity providers such as Google when selected, email providers for transactional notices, and security tools such as Cloudflare Turnstile. These providers process information according to their roles and applicable terms.

Information may also be disclosed when required by law or reasonably necessary to investigate fraud, protect users, or respond to valid legal requests.

6. Card payments and Stripe

LarryBooks uses Stripe-hosted payment flows where payments are enabled. Card details entered into Stripe checkout are handled by Stripe; LarryBooks receives payment, customer, transaction and subscription references necessary to operate the service. Subscription charges paid to LarryBooks are separate from payments customers make to independent businesses for appointments.

7. iOS app platform services and diagnostics

The LarryBooks iOS app is built on the Wix / Base44 application platform. The app uses Base44 platform services, Firebase Analytics, Sentry, and Panorama for app analytics, crash reporting, and performance monitoring. These services may process user IDs, installation and device identifiers, usage events, and diagnostic information (such as crash data and performance metrics) to help us understand how the app is used, diagnose problems, and improve reliability.

When a user allows push notifications, a notification token linked to their account is sent to Wix's notification service so we can deliver notifications to that device. The notification subscription is removed upon logout.

Sentry retains diagnostic events for up to 90 days. Each provider processes information according to its role as a service provider and its own terms and privacy practices.

8. Discovery, photos, and search engines

Discovery is off unless a business chooses to enable it. Participating businesses may publish a description, location details, cover photo, selected service names, and published gallery or portfolio images. A separate control governs whether a street address is displayed. Public pages and images may be accessed or cached by search engines and third parties, which might not remove copies immediately after a listing is disabled.

Businesses must obtain any required rights or consent before uploading photos showing other people. Do not upload confidential customer documents, sensitive information, or photos for which permission has not been obtained.

9. Communications and marketing

Booking confirmations, reminders, account, billing and security notices are service-related. If promotional email or other marketing features are offered in the future, they must be used with appropriate notice, legal permission, and opt-out procedures. Businesses using client details for their own promotions are responsible for meeting applicable law.

10. Cookies and technical tools

Login, site functionality, analytics, security, and performance tools may use cookies or similar browser storage. Some are needed to provide a working account or booking experience. Browser settings may let you limit certain cookies, but blocking necessary storage can affect the application. Any additional cookie-choice controls required by applicable law should be provided where relevant.

11. Data retention and security

Records are retained according to operational need, business relationships, applicable legal obligations, security requirements, and dispute resolution. Retention periods can differ for account, booking, payment and security records; removal from a public listing does not itself delete underlying business or transaction records. We use safeguards appropriate to the service, but no system can promise absolute security.

12. Your privacy choices and requests

Depending on where you live and the applicable law, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, or other controls over personal information. Contact support@getlarrybooks.com. We may need to verify the request, consult the business responsible for the appointment, or preserve records that must legally be retained. For a business's independent use of client details, you may also contact that business directly.

Business account holders can initiate permanent account deletion directly in LarryBooks through Account & Privacy in Settings, or through the onboarding account link. The request enters a review process; account access and associated information are not deleted immediately when the request is submitted. We aim to complete eligible deletion requests within 30 days, subject to identity checks and any information we must retain for legal, accounting, security, or dispute-resolution reasons. Submitting a deletion request does not itself cancel an active Stripe subscription. Business owners can also manage their public Discovery opt-in and address visibility in business settings. Customers may contact the business to correct a specific appointment.

13. Children and international access

LarryBooks is not directed to children under 13. If a parent or guardian books services for a minor, the responsible adult and business must ensure appropriate permission and handle any required protections. Our service and vendors may handle data in different countries; privacy rules vary by location.

14. Changes and contact

We may update this notice as products or information practices change, with additional notice where legally required.
